8 at 8
Well Katie is still progressing and was 8cm at 8pm. Her contractions are getting a lot more defined and staying closer and closer together. The nurses have brought in the warming table to "get ready" for the grand entrance that hopefully will be sooner rather than later. Thanks to good ol' cousin Amy and co Katie now has some motivation in the form of copious amounts of fresh brownies waiting to be taken as soon as the dust settles. If the brownies actually stay untouched by all present this will also be a great accomplishment! She will be checked again around 9 to hopefully be a 9 or even better a ten! Will update as soon as we find more out. Please keep Katie in your thoughts and prayers as she is wearing thin and getting very uncomfortable.

Katie- hang in there... once you hold Avery, you will be amazed at how quickly the pain seems to take a back seat. (or atleast that how I remember it when Lyndie was born 10 years ago). I am truly happy for you and love you all dearly!
You're so close - keep up the great work Katie, sounds so familiar to our experience... at times you wonder if it will every happen - but we know now that through all the exhaustion and waiting and pushing and anxiousness it's going to be so worth it when you meet your daughter. We're rooting for you in Doha - taking the midnight shift for those in Houston who have to sleep on a school night - so keep us in the loop! (Hopefully Avery is already with y'all - and you'll update the blog soon since we aren't in the text loop over here). Love you guys!
