Follow my step by step directions via the captions below each picture. You can add and subtract any of the ingredients you like and you do not have to freeze the burritos when finished. You can serve immediately or refrigerate and eat within a couple of days. However, freezing them is a great way to have fresh homemade breakfasts ready to go when you want one.
Enjoy!
Breakfast Burritos
Ingredients:
Shredded cheese (1 package = 2c), pepper to taste, salsa, wraps (mine was a 6 count), *1 lb sausage, *8 to 10 eggs
*Not pictured in this photo, see below |
| Brown your sausage |
| Scramble your eggs, pepper if you like |
| Once sausage is brown and eggs are scrambled, mix them in the same skillet and add cheese and salsa (as much or as little as you like) |
| Set out a wrap and dish onto it the mixture |
| Fold in the two corners/sides |
| Fold up the bottom (this is difficult to do with one hand and holding the camera with the other!) |
| Place onto a dry paper towel, and wrap the burrito in the paper towel the same as before |
Place into a gallon sized bag, label, date, freeze!
To reheat post-freezer, place burrito (still in paper towel) on a microwave safe plate, heat 20-30 seconds, remove paper towel, and check to see if inside is warm. If not, return to microwave a few more seconds...may take 45-60 seconds total.
Optional Ingredients: Onion, pepper(s), Tabasco-yummy!
