It's been a while since I last blogged. It would seem that being a "stay at home mom" you have access to update your blog all the time...not so with a soon to be 10 month old who is teething, pulling up on things, attempting to walk by pushing her "walker" toys, and getting into unbaby-proofed areas at lighting speed! The Corley household is doing great and inching ever closer to the FIRST BIRTHDAY of Miss Avery! Wow, time flies when you are having fun! Last week Avery was actually under the weather, running a 102 degree temp. The PEDI said maybe a virus...but here in TX the weather changes fast from 30 degrees one week to 80 the next. Maybe its associated with all that up and down temps. Who knows, the good thing is Avery is better! Praise God!
Ryan's mom and Gerald came for a visit...they were going to come in December around Christmas but his mom (Kathy) fell out the attic getting decorations down and ended up breaking (or so they thought initially) her wrist and was going to have to endure surgery! Yikes! The silver lining is the MRI showed no break, but swelling on the tendons...one hot pink cast later they hit the road to TX! We had a wonderful visit and always hate to see family leave, but don't we all have to leave only to be able to come back for another visit?!
Kevin Ryan's brother is doing well, he is in the Police Academy due to graduate this summer! The bummer is he was recently recalled back to active duty in Iraq as soon as he graduates. Please be in prayer about this. Our hearts as heavy and concerned. However, we couldn't be more proud of Kevin! He is our HERO! Who decided two days before to run in the Marathon! He ran the 1/2 and completed the whole thing! Go Uncle Kevin! Very cool- technology these days can let you see when the runners are online because of a tag/sensor the runners wear on their shoes, and their are cameras along the whole race snapping pics of the runners and you can look up the pictures by the tag/sensor number-even cooler!!!
That's about all the excitement in our little world...I have some cute 9 month old photos I took of Avery, I'll post them soon...FYI we have no Internet at home, thus the lack of posting regularly. OH! CONGRATULATIONS to our friends Brent and Jess who welcomed Miss Julianne into their lives yesterday (Jan 24)! She was 7.3 lbs and 21" long! PERFECT!
